Hey —

New post is live and this one is a little different.

No gear lists. No Amazon links. Just something I think is worth saying out loud because most people in this space don't say it.

Being prepared means having the right gear, the right plan, and the right mindset. But none of that matters if you're not physically capable of executing when it counts.

Can you pull your family out of a car after an accident? Can you catch your toddler before they run into traffic? Can you get your kid out of a second floor window if you need to?

These aren't extreme scenarios. They're Tuesday.

This post covers how I think about health and fitness as a core part of being prepared — not from an expert standpoint, not with a program to sell you, just what works for me and why I think it matters for anyone trying to be the person their family can count on.

There's also a real life enchilada sauce story in there that I think will make you look at your pantry differently.

Talk soon,

Sean
